Cleaning & Maintenance

Rail-Blue Charters practises a pro-active cleaning and maintenance delivery regime for its fleet of vehicles.

This enables us to

We are passionate and committed about delivering an outstanding customer experience for you and/or your clients. After all, we wouldn't put up with poor customer service in any environment. We don't expect you to. So, we try and plan as early as possible and try and anticipate issues so we can head them off as early as possible.

This does not mean that we don't get the occasional mechanical problems but the pro-active maintenance regime put in place helps to avoid this as much as possible. It's about little things such as a reading light that needs a bulb changing or a tap that won't work, things like that. It's also human nature - when you are on a train, you often look round the environment you are in and try and spot any potential blemishes. We don't want you to find any!

Prior to getting the vehicles out on your charter, we will make sure that they are spotless. We also take the view that as we've put a lot of time, effort (and money) into them, we aren't about to let them slip! It will always be an on-going task to keep the vehicles smart, demanding vehicles that they are, but we try to keep on top of it.

Any vehicle that operates on the national network needs a proper maintenance regime. We have one specifically written and tailored for the for the current use our carriages have in the charter market environment.

Rail-Blue Charters outsources its fleet management and maintenance to a number of companies such as DB Schenker at Crewe where some of the MkIII vehicles are based. The MkII charter fleet is based at Barrow Hill and is looked after by Nemesis Rail.
