Along with our partners at Electric Traction Ltd, 86101 took the Cargo-D MkIII vehicles on a test run to Carlisle and back from Crewe with staff on board for training purposes on Thursday 11th October.
The following day, 86101 retraced her steps with the MkIIIs, running from Crewe to Doncaster - via Edinburgh!
The running on both days was exceptional and proved what the MkIII package is capable of; 110mph running, swift acceleration and an ability to slot into busy 125mph railway routes without delaying other service trains.
Our thanks go to ETL, GBRf, Victa Westlink and LNWR Crewe for their help and assistance so far.
More details will be released in due course.
