The Class 87 has been a dedicated West Coast Main Line machine since they were built in 1973-5 for the West Coast electrification extension on that route to Glasgow.
The last Class 87s in service have not been commemorated on their old stamping ground, so Spitfire Railtours wanted to commemorate 34 years of use on their route with this special train.
The train operates from Birmingham to Glasgow and return and offers dining, first class and standard class seating.
Demand for this special is expected to be heavy so book early!
