We are pleased to welcome West Coast Railway Company as our preferred haulier for 2008. WCRC brings with it a large range of traction and route knowledge and will be able to suit our more varied needs for 2008 as both the Cargo-D and Rail-Blue Charter businesses move forward. WCRC will take charge of Rail-Blue's first corporate train of 2008, providing traction, crews and general support. Thanks must go to James Shuttleworth and Malcolm Gelsthorpe for all their help and assistance.
Another first should, all being well, be the first run of the RBC sleeper. Purchased as a staff accommodation vehicle, this vehile has now been virtually been reactivated and needs a few finishing touches which should be carried out this week. 10588 carries accommodation for up to 24 staff across 12 berths and has the useful addition of a pantry/kitchenette at one end to service the needs of the carriage staff.
