RBC will be operating a pair of DRS Class 20s to London and the South East on December 30th. Operating from Barrow Hill, it will pick up at various Midland Mainline stations before heading towards Richmond and Barnes before turning to face Clapham Junction from the south. It will then head out towards Ashford and along the coast to Hastings before heading inland via Battle and Tonbridge to Redhill and north. Class 20s (to our knowledge anyway!) have not covered this area on passenger work in anger before, so there is the mouth-watering combination of new ground, a few 'red bits' and a pair of Class 20s to boot! There is also the fact that we can get around London as it's not so busy between Christmas and New Year! Hence Wednesday.
