Animals:
No animals or pets are permitted on the train other than guide and hearing dogs.
Bookings:
Telephone bookings will be confirmed verbally at the time of booking. Email confirmation will be provided automatically for internet bookings and those passengers booking over the telephone that provide their email address. Postal confirmation can be given on receipt of a SAE.
Cancellation and amendments by passengers:
Rail-Blue Charters requests that any cancellation need to be done in writing and addressed to a dedicated PO box.
No administration fee will be charged for a transfer to another Rail-Blue Charter more than 14 days prior to the charter, otherwise, a transfer will be considered as a cancellation.
The following fees are applicable for a cancellation:
Cancellation: 28 days prior to the charter train: full cost of the booking minus £10 administration fee per person.
Cancellation: Between 14 and 28 days prior to the charter train: 50% refund of the full cost of the booking minus £10 administration fee per person.
Cancellation: Up to 14 days prior to the charter train: no refund will be available.
For any cancellation because of a medical condition, when a proof can be provided, at the discretion of Rail-Blue Charters, no cancellation fee will be charged.
Cancellation and amendment by Rail-Blue Charters:
In the unlikely event of the cancellation of a Rail-Blue Charter train, all tickets will be refunded or transferred to another charter train but no other liability is accepted.
For transfers to another charter train, in case of a price difference, the price difference will either be paid by the passenger in case of an increase or in case of a lower price, Rail-Blue Charters will refund this to the passenger.
Rail-Blue Charters reserves the right to amend the date, journey, locomotives or rolling stock prior to the date of travel or after departure but will not incur any liability in doing so. If there is an amendment to the journey after departure of the charter train, Rail-Blue Charters endeavours to bring all passengers back to its departure point but can’t be hold responsible for any impact on onward journeys.
Complaints:
Any complaints to be raised during the charter trip to the on-board Rail-Blue Charters representative.
Damage:
If passengers cause damage to the train, passengers will be held responsible and Rail-Blue Charters reserves the right to seek compensation for any damage through the courts."
Dining:
When passengers book a seat including a dining package, wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks can be ordered from the buffet bar and wine list and are charged as extras (usual credit and debit cards are welcome). In line with usual restaurant practice, we do ask guests not to bring their own drinks.
Insurance:
We recommend Rail-Blue Charters passengers to take out travel insurance for travel on the specific charter train they have booked on.
Luggage:
Each passenger is responsible for their personal belongings or luggage which they bring on board the charter train. In the event of any damage or loss, Rail-Blue Charters cannot be hold responsible but if the lost item is found afterwards, Rail-Blue Charters will endeavour to find the owner of the item and return the item. Rail-Blue Charters reserves the right to charge the owner of the item a delivery fee.
Payment:
Tickets can be paid for by debit or credit card, postal order or cheque. Debit and credit card payments will be taken immediately. If a postal order or cheque is not received within 7 days of the booking, the booking will be cancelled.
All bookings and credit/debit card transactions are handled by Talisman Rail Limited on behalf of Rail-Blue Charters and payments will appear on statements as 'Talisman Card Services'.

Smoking:
Rail-Blue Charters operates a no-smoking policy. Rail-Blue Charters reserves the right to request passengers caught smoking on the train to leave the train at the next station.
Table for two:
A £10 supplement per person guarantees a table for 2. These are restricted in number, so they are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
Terms and conditions:
Passengers agree with Rail-Blue Charters terms and conditions at the time of booking and full payment of the respective tickets.
Tickets:
Seats need to be booked and paid for in full in advance of the date of travel as otherwise, seats are deemed not reserved. Passengers need to be able to present a valid ticket when requested. If no valid ticket can be shown, the passenger needs to pay for the ticket or leave the charter train at the next station.Rail-Blue Charters will try its best to accommodate seating requests, however, these cannot be guaranteed. Passengers are requested to ask for specific seating arrangements at the time of booking.
A table for 2 can only be guaranteed with the payment of a £10 supplement per person. These tables are restricted in number, so they are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
A confirmation letter and tickets will be dispatched to the address the passenger specifies at the time of booking as soon as timings are received from Network Rail. Rail-Blue Charters will dispatch these when the confirmed timings are known.
In the event that seats are available on the day, Rail-Blue Charters will announce on its website. We will take payment on the day, but seats are allocated on a first come first served basis on the day.
Timings:
All timings provided on the website or any promotional materials are only a guide as they will be confirmed two weeks prior to the departure of your charter train.
